Our "babies"

Max
Rocky

Emma

I am finally going to update my blog. Since October there hasn't been a whole lot going on. We celebrated Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's, St. Patrick's and Easter. My parents came to visit in February and Eric & Sharmayne were here at the beginning of April. I no longer work for Utah First Credit Union. I was laid off at the end of March. I haven't found a new job yet. We adopted a new addition to our family. His name is Rocky. He is a year old pure bred miniature schnauzer. He is quite playful and is definately a puppy still. There have been quite a few birthdays in the past few months. Happy belated birthday to Mom (LaNette), Kameron, Helen, Sharmayne, Nicole, Mom (Joyce), Brayden, Brendan, Bradley, Paul, Denise, Michael, Violet, Me, Tori, Stephanie, Dad (Charles), and Dad (Lee). Happy Birthday this week to Savanna and Kenny!!! Because I lost my job, I am not sure if we are going to go forward with the foster adoption process. Congratulations to Brendan & Tori on their new baby girl. She is beautiful. I will try keep this blog updated but I am not making any guarantees.

Well, a whole lot has happened since our last post. We received the news that we passed our background check. So now we just have to do the homestudy. We have a lot of things that we need to change around our house before we schedule the homestudy. We are taking it one day at a time.

Nathan and I have had the opportunity to attend a few birthday parties in the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who invited us. I will post a few of the pictures, that I took at Austin's birthday party, for family living in New Mexico. We missed you!!! We have had several birthdays in our family since September 1. Happy Birthday to Jenn, Jon, Avalon, Leah, Connie, Austin and Olivia. We have a few more birthdays coming up in the next few weeks. Here's a birthday shout out to Eric, Jessica and Nathan!!!

Plotts Family Get Together
Nathan and I were fortunate to have dinner a few weeks ago with some of his Plotts cousins. We had a great time getting to know new family members and reminiscing with not so new ones. Thank you to Roy Lee for organizing the party.

Girls Night Out!!!
Thanks to all the girls who joined me for our last girls night out. I had a great time. Thanks to Helen for letting us use her house. A special thanks to Jon for letting us use his "man room" to watch our movie.

Well we did it. We completed all the classes required to become foster parents. We are now waiting for the results of our background checks and for the State of Utah to schedule a home study. We probably won't see any children in our home until after the first of the year.

Many of you may or may not know that Nathan and I are going through the process to become foster parents. Our primary goal is to adopt!!! We have already taken 4 of the 8 classes required and will need to complete a home study and a complete background check. We are very excited and just as nervous. We believe that we can and will make a difference in the life of one of these kids.

Hi, welcome to the Plotts family blog!!!

Nathan and I have been married 15 years this past May. We don't have any children, just a couple of very spoiled dogs, Max and Emma.
